Nutrition ProTibet– Impacts in 2024!
The joy in children’s bellies is the fuel of this project. More than 400 nomadic children in Changtang in the Indian Himalayas will have a slightly richer diet. Teachers will supplement it with vegetables, rare meat or an egg, which is an unavailable ingredient in the winter months. However, the project is still in its infancy 🙂
The long-term goal of improving the diet of more than 400 young Tibetans turned out to be a good idea.

More nutritious foods with protein during the summer, more fruit.

At an altitude of 4,500 m above sea level, an exotic fruit can look like an egg, and in summer like a mango or an apple.

When we visited the children in person in the summer of 2024 and handed them the fruit, they were absolutely delighted. They enjoyed the mangoes we gave them like nectar from heaven and were able to suck the pit and peel for a long time. They were completely glued and licked their sweet hands up to the wrist. It was clear that a piece of fruit represents a rarity and sensory exclusivity for the children. We were extremely happy and it made a lot of sense to us.
We had the honor of personally distributing boxes full of bananas, mangoes and melons purchased from the first donation of the Nutrition project in the amount of CZK 40,090.

In TCV Hanle (Tibetan Children Village) – the largest Tibetan nomadic village in Ladakh, we attended the 44th anniversary of the founding of this school. The festivities included local sports games and competitions and the inauguration of the Nutrition Against Tibet project in front of the entire village.
In front of hundreds of people and children, we symbolically untied the ceremonial ribbon wrapping a plate full of healthy fruit.

The project has had a favorable start and we firmly believe that it will bring many good things.
Thank you for your support!
