Teacher Karma la, a local coordinator with whom we have been working for more than 15 years, is working with the exile government and helping us define needs.
In 2023, we supported the Winter Tuition project with an amount of 46,090 CZK.
Equipment for better teaching was purchased for the school – such as a data projector, generator and loudspeaker (partly from donations for 2022). Additional funds from donations in 2023 are used to ensure the operation: heating, food – tea, milk, cookies, soups, pancakes and lentils with rice. From educational needs, we supported the purchase of: books and notebooks and financed teachers’ salaries.
We were able to support the education of 38 children aged 5 to 14. Three subjects were mainly taught, namely: English, Tibetan and mathematics. The team supporting the operation of the school consisted of five teachers, two cooks and a support force.
