With this project, we support the poorest Tibetan families in Ladakh, warming their spirits a little during the coldest months of the year.

In the winter of 2024, we supported 79 families from exile camps in central Ladakh
with a total amount of CZK 105,373.
Employees of the government-in-exile purchased 711 bags of firewood, toured the exile camps with a truck full of bags, and delivered the firewood to people’s homes. Most of those supported are seniors, have mobility problems, and would have no way to transport the bags home. Each of these poorest families received 9 bags of dried firewood.
The government-in-exile distributed the rest of the money to the families in cash so that they could buy the necessary kindling or kerosene for heating.
