What do I do at MOST?

I was at the birth of our organization in 2004, at the birth of all development projects. In my work, I set the direction of the organization, I manage our team, I am responsible for the economy, I participate and visit personally projects in India and prviously in Tibet. Sometimes I write articles, meet with sponsors, appear in the media, give talks, go to festivals with a booth, and when needed, I clean the office, wash towels and take out the trash.

Why I do it and what I enjoy most about it?

I do this because my great passion – Tibet, Tibetans, Tibetan culture and their values – has become my work and I can devote myself to an activity that gives me meaning. Even though I sometimes solve difficult problems, I enjoy and find work extremely fulfilling. I like its diversity and the possibility to work in India, in direct contact with supported people. At the same time, one realizes that we live in wealth and comfort that most people in the world can only dream of, yet these people are humble, smiling, contented and constantly praying for the happiness of all of us…

What I like? What I enjoy in general?

I really like to travel and get to know new places, people and cultures – preferably to the east of us. I like to ride a bike, I like the mountains, the sun, the heat and the sea. I sympathize with an alternative lifestyle, I collect herbs for tea and sometimes I put them in slivovice. I love food, cooking and good wine. And her husband and daughter.

What do I do at MOST?

I have been working with MOST for 10 years, but professionally only since 2018. I also stand in for our lovely headmistress at MOST, especially when she travels around the Himalayas in Northern India. Someone has to stay at home.

Why do I do it and what do I enjoy most about it?

I work a lot at MOST and I like it, because the time has come to improve my karma.

At MOST, I like to lecture on the topic: “Introduction to Buddhism”. And I am watching with interest as contemporary quantum physics begins to confirm the words of the Buddha.

What do I do at MOST?

Coordination of foreign development projects is my responsobility both systematicaly and individually. Further taking care for sponsorship together with Jana, managing the website together with Katerina, databases and systems within the Adoption ProTibet. Communicating with tibetan partners all over the places, promoting and providing feedback on project implementation towards donors and foreign trips to supported areas belong too among my responsibilities.

Why do I do it and what do I enjoy most about it?

I find my work meaningful, useful and creative. I enjoy the freedom I have at work, the joy of donors from being involved, and the joy of recipients of aid from the fact that someone cares about them. In short, I enjoy being a mediator where something good happens.

What I like? What do I enjoy in general?

I marvel at the immensity and power of the Buddha’s teachings. Within my limited possibilities, I try to devote myself to these gems of wisdom both theoretically and practically. I also dedicate my time to my little daughter and family and our cottage where we live.

What do I do at MOST?

My work includes editorial work, editing of text and image materials, management of social networks, management of websites, promotion in printed materials, production of events and communication with the media, promotion and media coverage of the e-shop.

Why do I do it and what do I enjoy most about it?

I simply enjoy working at MOST. She is creative, fulfilling, I am happy with her.

But most of all inventing, planning and organizing events.

What I like? What do I enjoy in general?

Travelling, reading about travel, planning travel. I love life, my family, my friends. I love the mountains, the sea, I like to ride my bike, read a good book and taste all the goodies of the world. Oh, and coffee. And Game of Thrones.

What do I do at MOST?

I have an interesting position in the organization. As a “founding father”, I became the chairman of the board of directors, but otherwise I work as the oldest volunteer, I have never been in an official employment relationship. And even though Mostu is “in his twenties”, I can still fulfill my role as a father: advise, help, organize, take away, stand at the stand…

Why do I do it and what do I enjoy most about it?

Recently, one of the people I respected died – Jiří Stránský. He used to say “If you can, you must”. So when I found out years ago, based on my own experiences from travels, self-study and subsequent meetings with many people, what the situation is in Tibet, I thought that I can/must share this information further. And in addition – in many ways I even see a great similarity between the Czech and Tibetan destinies, albeit in different conditions. I have been doing business in the “profit sector” for almost thirty years, so working in a non-profit enriches me in many ways, sometimes even surprises me in good and not so good ways. What I like best is a completely different type of interpersonal encounter. At work, I contact my business partner when we need our products, services – I his or he mine. At MOST, I share values at festivals and discussions with people who have a similar point of view – on the world, on the relationship between man and man (whether it’s a neighbor next door or a Tibetan 6,000 km away).

What I like? What do I enjoy in general?

The biggest and most time-consuming hobby is truly a non-profit, anyone who has been hooked on volunteering knows this. Otherwise, I enjoy walking in the mountains, rock climbing, cycling (mostly with my daughter in the back now) and still (unsuccessfully) catching up on my reading debts.

What do I do at MOST?

In Most, I am in charge of tsampa production. Primarily roasting and grinding barley, operating and maintaining machines.

Why do I do it and what do I enjoy most about it?

I like good and healthy food. And the pleasant atmosphere of the collective here is sweet to my heart.

What I like? What do I enjoy in general?

I like cycling, I like music, life and everything it has to offer.

What do I do at MOST?

My work mainly revolves around our e-shop, processing orders, adding goods to the offer, communicating with customers. I was at the beginning of tsampa production – roasting, grinding, weighing and mixing the mixture. If necessary, even today I help the tsampa team.

I love nature, trees, books, music and family. Since childhood, I have been attracted to everything beautiful and harmonious. I am interested in everything related to the spiritual and mystical path. You can read more about me and my life journey on my website.
