ProTibet Festival 2015

Organization MOST has held Festival ProTibet each year in March since 2002. We present the disappearing culture of Tibet and Himalayas, deal with issues of human rights, migration and promote development and humanitarian projects. The festival includes concerts, exhibitions, lectures and discussions or film screenings. Since 2006 the festival saw a number of foreign artists, famous Czech actors and actresses, singers, travellers or Buddhist scholars and monks. MOST cooperates within the festival with plenty of institutions, universities and organizations. Its profit always goes to help Tibetan refugees.

The 16th annual festival (2017) took place at more than 30 towns in the Czech Republic and offered lot of interesting events. The visitors had an opportunity to attend climbing and travelling lectures, to listen Tibetan stories and fairy-tales, to dance traditional dance, to see interesting films. Our main guest – Buddhist monk Pema Samdup was creating a sand mandala and had a lectures in many towns in CZ.

Educational and informational programs

EducationIn past years we dedicated our educational projects to Tibetan issue and familiarized not only schools, but also the public with the problems of development and humanitarian aid. Since we have started our educational programs at schools, almost 3 000 students took part at our workshops or lectures. The schools have also borrowed exhibitions, films with Tibetan context or they have taken part at our project days.

Exhibitions

Since 2002 MOST have been organizing photography exhibitions accompanied by events such as accredited courses, lectures, workshops and film screenings. Our exhibitions show different perspectives: geographical, cultural, political etc.
