One of our most important goals is to support education of children, helping to increase literacy and increasing the chances of people to get a job. School ProTibet project involves schools for children in Tibet and India. Organization MOST ProTibet supports schools that are located in remotes areas, even in the altitude higher than 4,000 metres.
MOST supports school in Tibet
MOST supports three schools in Tibetan Autonomous Prefectures of Kardze. Schools are too distant for most of the nomads and villagers.
Tibetan schools are not financed sufficiently by government.
In 2019 we have opened the support of education to children, who are facing the financial scarcity, which endangeres their access to education. We have capacity to collect some donations to support their life outlook in the future. In 2019 we have donated 9600 euro to these poor children, who can now study whole year and travel to school and pay fees. Some of these children are orphants asome semi-orphants.
Gyalten School (Closed projects in Tibet)
Since 2013 we have been supporting the non-governmental school Gyalten lying in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Kardze. This school is the only one in the area that offers free education, food and accommodation for 400 children from the nearby villages. For some of them we have provided school supplies, textbooks, clothing and medicines. Furthermore, we contributed to the salaries of teachers and help to fund school meals. Since 2019 we are not supporting the school due to restrictions.
